The article is about foreign talent debate.

The title of the article: 'Success of foreign talent discourages locals'.

I agree with the writer of the article, Ryan Huang about the article.

Some excerpts of what he wrote in the article:

''We have to be mindful not to use them as substitutes for home-grown talent.''

''The message this sends out is 'don't bother trying, we can find a foreigner who's better than you to wear the jersey'.''

My favourite excerpt of the article is the last one about how it is not

all about winning.

I am not against foreign talent playing for Singapore

but when it deprives the chance for local talent who is just as good

to represent Singapore, it bothers me.
