Yoon Ji Hoo. (second from the right)
I'm back. After so long.Today had assembly. Horrid remarks were hurled at us. They told us what we were of what was. Failures. We can't even be on par with last year batch during mid-year. Basically our results sucked. Alot. Hey, we are already demoralized right here. There is'nt a need to dampened our already low spirits.
Maybe she was just trying to wake us up from our slumber that 'o' levels is still so far away. Sighs. She asked why our batch was like that. I came up with a possible conclusion to why we are performing so badly.
I speak on the behalf of my friends of those I know and agree with reason. The timetable is draining our energy. Our curriculum ends at four-thirty on most days. And that excludes the time we want to meet teachers to clarify our doubts. The extra classes. When we get home, we have to complete our homework and when we want to study or revise, our eyelids tell us they want to close, our brains tell us that they are tired, our body tells us that we need some much needed rest. Our attention span gets lesser with every passing hour in the night when we are revising. To sum it all up, the timetable drains our energy making us very tired when we go home.
Time management. That would be the politically correct term to say about our studying time. That is why we have weekends right? It's to unwind and relax after a chaotic week. Seriously, we're humans right? Like I said before and would say again.
There is only so much you can stretch a rubber band. It might just snap.
Maybe, we students complain too much. Maybe this could all be worth it. The timetable could be to our benefit. But then again, there is always two sides to a coin.
Signing off now.
